Owen Rhys, the sin eater, has been shunned by the local villagers all his life--except for Andras Maddock, the local physician. In love with the one man he believes will never return that love, Owen is shocked when Andras saves him from death at the hands of a vampire.

Dagan, Dark Lord of the Underworld, vows to avenge his father’s death and obtain the Prince of Wales’s mystic sword from Andras. The claymore’s power holds an immunity the vampires have coveted for centuries.

Star-crossed love, sorcery, and bloodlust collide on a vengeful path where only one side will remain victorious.

The Sin Eaters Prince by Keta Diablo takes place in Pembrokeshire, Southwest Wales in 1842--a time seeped in superstition. This story captivated me right away. Diablo gives her readers time to first meet all the characters, main and secondary, because they all hold vital parts as the story unfolds. As subplots intertwine, the story dives deeper into both Owen and Andra's past, and the heart of the tale becomes more intriguing. I was hooked. Because it became clear this tale was leading to something bigger. And I was right. Especially where it comes to Owen Rhys--the town's Sin Eater.

The one gifted with magic, able to absorb the sins of a dying person so that person's soul is free to go devoid of sin to heaven, there was more to this character then just being a sin eater. Much more. And I had to find out. Alone, now, since Owen’s father died, he has only one friend, Carys whose employed by the town's physician, the handsome Andras Maddock. Andras is the man that Owen can’t help but have such deep intense affection for. And with each passing day
gets harder and harder to repress. But when Owen learns that Andras feels the same way for him…I wish I could describe the emotions the moment when these two men unleash their passion for each other. It took my breath away.

Even though Andras is a vampire and Owen being a sin eater and shunned by everyone, it doesn’t matter to either of them. I was also awestruck how beautifully Owen and Andras attraction for each other just would not be denied. But now that they have found each other, there is someone who wants to take it away.

Dagan, a vampire and a long-time enemy of Andras, is their enemy. But the stakes are higher now because Andreas has done the impossible and killed Dagan’s father. ??Dagan seeks to avenge his father's death by destroying Andras and everyone he holds dear. But first, he must get one thing from Andras--an ancient weapon so powerful it will give vampires the power to walk in the sun. And he has found just how to do that through Andras' weakness. Owen.

This love story is electric. The story is full of ancient folk lore, as well as werewolves and even dragons! And every factor is essential to the plot. As I was nearing the story's end, a part of me was melancholic in my feelings. I’d gotten so involved in Owen and Andras' story that my thoughts were pensive as I turned that last page
